Fundamentals of Real Estate Development and Finance

The professional development programme is an interactive and collaborative course that explores the fundamentals of commercial real estate development and finance. Aimed at real estate professionals with a basic understanding of commercial real estate, the course explores the development process primarily from the viewpoint of developers and equity investors.  Through on-demand modules and live online workshops, the course will address relevant issues ranging from acquisition, design, construction, operations, disposition, to key aspects of equity and debt financing, and issues relating to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).

The programme begins with an overview of economic principles and progresses to more complex real estate investment analysis, with an investment presentation to senior ULI member leaders from various facets of the industry who will act as the Investment Committee. By the end of the program, the participant will walk away with the ability to apply practical and strategic insights to current real estate investment practices.

This is an interactive and collaborative programme that integrates multimedia such as videos, polls, on-demand learning modules, and live online workshops. Relevant course materials such as ULI Case Studies, webinars, and reports, will be provided to enhance the overall content. Collaborative learning is important. Students will connect and network through online workshops, with other participants and ULI member leaders from across the globe.


Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
