Construction Fundamentals: Cost Estimating - Spring 2025
Construction projects are complex undertakings that normally require pricing of a significant number of work items, called divisions, that are inherently different such as earthwork, concrete, metals, masonry, and wood. Each work item/division can have its own characteristics, sub elements, and methods of estimating. The purpose of this training course is to introduce the general process for estimating construction work, the essential tools used in estimating construction, the process of crew analysis, and how to carry out an estimate of construction work.
