Cities and Urban Design Leader for Latin America

Emma Grün is an accomplished expert with over 15 years of interdisciplinary experience. She has focused her career on planning and urban design, developing public policies for complex cities in Latin America, and project work in different scale for the private sector, and communities directly.

With a strong commitment to achieving coherent results and adhering to metrics, Emma is currently the Regional Cities and Urban Design Leader at Gensler Latin America. Her strategic and analytical design philosophy, guided by a forward-thinking vision, aims to create inclusive, equitable, and sustainable urban cities.

Prior to joining Gensler, Emma successfully led diverse teams and cultures. She has also served as a professor at the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) in Nicaragua, teaching Urban Planning and Design, and Urban Theory, and provided technical support and strategy development for urban planning at the Inter-American Development Bank's Housing and Urban Development Division.
